The Chicago Parent Program is a national, evidence-based program designed to address the needs of parents raising young children (2-8 years old) in underserved communities.

Relationship building is the heart of the Chicago Parent Program. We help families by strengthening parents’ skills and confidence and their children’s mental health and wellbeing. We strengthen communities by building connections among families and between families and the agencies that serve them.

CPP has helped over 10,000 parents raise happier, healthier children.

  • Skilled Group Leaders

More than 1,000 group leaders have been trained across the country.

  • Improved Child Behavior

The Chicago Parent Program (CPP) began in Chicago in 2002 and draws upon more than 20 years of research. Its design reflects the perspectives and experiences of an advisory board of mothers, fathers, and grandparents. The 12-session program strengthens parenting skills and confidence, supports young children's behavioral health and wellbeing, and builds social connections and healthy communities. Since its inception, CPP has been deployed in over 27 states and counting.
